How much we enjoyed last week at La Mimosa, I jumped up and down with joy when I opened the gates. It really is even more perfect than the website shows. We loved the garden and fruit trees, the views were amazing. The house felt like home and you have put careful thought into every detail. The kitchen is better equipped than our own and we had fun cooking tapas and ate an inordinate amount of jamon, chorizo etc. We enjoyed the pool very much. The children’s toys were a great bonus. I could go on and on, your house is just perfect! We will definitely have to come back again! A huge thank you for sharing La Mimosa with us.

La Mimosa has surpassed my expectations and the website does not do the place justice with the photos, you have really put your heart and soul into this place. The house is comfortable and homely and 2 year old has been kept amused by the pool , the kids books, and some tactically rationed telly – it hasn’t bothered her at all that she hasn’t had someone of her own age to play with.

We have spent a great deal of time in the garden admiring the plants, eating the fruit and casting wistful glances at the mountains. We live in the Lake District and are used to having the fells around us but these mountains, particularly in the evening sunlight, are something else.

Orgiva is a relaxed and pretty town, the market is well worth a look. Trevelez is quite breathtaking, Nerja for the beaches. Granada has a nice mix of new and old – and of course the Alhambra!

Our only regret is that we didn’t have more time here! Fantastic

Hi Alan

We are safely back having had a lovely and very lazy week at La Mimosa. Thanks for all the information you provided us with.  In the end we were mostly more than happy to chill by the wonderful pool.  We enjoyed picking apricots, lemons and oranges and using herbs straight from the garden.

Thanks for letting us have the use of your villa.  We had a great time!

We really enjoyed staying at La Mimosa albeit for only one week, its peacefulness and serenity was just what was required to recharge our batteries. The garden was beautiful and we found the constant sound of running water in the irrigation channels really amazing.

Thanks for a great holiday.

We had such a wonderful time! This was our third visit to the Alpujarra and it is still lovely. La Mimosa was the perfect base and pretty much everything we needed was there! I particularly enjoyed your great selection of books! The kids had a blast in the pool and the garden kept us all entertained and enchanted for hours.

We will miss the goats going past!

Gorgeous weather and wonderful food!

Thank you!

Our first holiday with our children aged 15 and 10 years to the Alpujarra since we visited Orgiva 20 years ago. We still love the place and adored staying at La Mimosa. The place really gets to you; it makes you sit still adoring the tranquillity, the peace and the local scenery. We visited Granada and many other places, there was so much more to see but we wanted to relax by your pool swim and read which is such a luxury from our normal lives.

We will definitely come back and thank you for the magnificent welcome basket.

You have a great house, a lovely pool and beautiful views. The weather was terrific and we slowly got into the Spanish “time” by eating later and later every day.

Our 3rd time here and we still love it, every time we plan to do more but once again have enjoyed a generally lazy holiday feeling stresses wash away in the pool. It’s been another relaxed break from the bustle of the big city.

Our second visit to La Mimosa felt like coming home with every thoughtful touch seen to. Our 2 year old son loved the “sit and ride on” car and we enjoyed eating at home with a kitchen better equipped than our own. God willing we will be back next year.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely home – thank you!

We have done very little except enjoy the pool and garden in glorious weather. We appreciated the ceiling fans as it was warmer at night than in the daytime in the U.K.

The Alhambra was fantastic so thank you for the tip to book our tickets in advance.

Thanks ever so much, best wishes!

Many thanks for a great week in your house. We really enjoyed ourselves and the pool view with the mountain behind really is to die for!

we had a wonderful holiday for which a big thank you! The terrace and pool and garden are especially tranquil and relaxing and we also even got out to go horse riding in the mountains above the house!
