We enjoyed staying here and want to thank you for the splendid welcome pack.

When Dutch friends need an address for staying in the neighbourhood of Granada we will recommend you.

We were delighted to spend our vacation at La Mimosa with its tranquility, lovely garden, and shady terrace beautifully decorated with its Andalusian tiled table and outdoor kitchen tiles. Not to mention the pool, which we all found refreshing during sunny days and moonlit nights.

The house itself is very charming and we all felt that a lot of effort has been put into making it a nice and inviting vacation place. In the past we have rented many houses in France and Italy but La Mimosa is for sure one of the best functioning and beautiful and no doubt the one with the best beds ever!

Seven glorious too short days have flown by as we have hiked, relaxed, explored and eaten our way through this glorious area. From the mountain (our favourite!) to the coast, from Granada to Ferrierola, to the garden, patio and pool, we were in a state of bliss.

We finished our vacation with 7 days in Barcelona. Although we thoroughly enjoyed our time there not a day went by that at least one of us didn't have a nostalgia moment for La Mimosa. As far as I am concerned, our time there was the highlight of the trip to Europe. If any potential renters cross my path I would be more than happy to refer them to you.

La Mimosa is a lovely place in a spectacular area worthy of all the superlatives written by previous guests.

What an excellent fortnight we had at La Mimosa. The holiday surpassed our expectations in no small part due to your gorgeous “cortico” and gardens, The views from the garden are superb. When we managed to venture further afield the unspoilt Alpujarras were a joy to explore.

It was also a joy to meet Antonio when he came to water the garden, he is a charming gentleman and Carlos who cleaned the pool was most helpful and has a tremendous sense of humour.

Your house, garden and pool are absolutely delightful and I'm sure I will remember them often in the depths of a Scottish winter. Many thanks for letting us recharge our batteries in your wonderful home.

La Mimosa is the best villa I’ve ever stayed in. The pool is absolutely luxurious. The grapes hanging above the outside table were beautiful. The bedrooms were really nice because of the fans. Walking up to Orgiva for the lovely food is brilliant.

The living room at La Mimosa is so refreshing, its sofas are so comfy you just want to sink in and fall asleep. The garden is very shady with lots of beautiful trees you can sit under. A brilliant holiday villa with lovely paintings

Thank you for a brilliant stay at La Mimosa. It’s the most delightful villa that I’ve ever stayed in. I enjoyed using thje pool very much and the inflatable toys made it extra fun!

The interior of La Mimosa is tasteful and comfortable and I admired all the posters and paintings.

Visiting Orgiva wa a great experience and I’m sad to leave. I also like visiting the mountain villages; Pampaneira was my favourite, there was a fantastic rock pool there. All in all a fantastic stay, everything I could have hoped for.

This place really does get to you doesn’t it………

Thank you for sharing your home with us, we have had the most wonderful 2 weeks.

We came here partly for the mountain views and they are quite simply breathtaking. Nothing I take with the camera quite does them justice and leaving is going to be so difficult (how do you do that by the way? I’d never leave!)

The villa is in a word “lovely”. The grounds and pool have been the most relaxing places and your garden! Really beautiful planting (my mother would be in he element). The boys have spent a considerable time sweeping. Aged 18 months and 3 years respectively, brooms are high on their list of entertainment. We’ve also spent a lot of time observing the wildlife and had a wonderful early morning counting all the bats flying home to roost.

We’ve seen all your suggested local sights, driving to the mountain villages for some long lazy lunches. We also made a couple of trips to the sea. We liked La Herradura the best as the water is so clear. The little cove to the far east of the bay is the best, quite a scramble down but it’s worth it. Great food is available on the beach too.

The Alhambra is also quite something. We managed to visit with an 18 month old and a 3 year old and still enjoyed it. Incredible views of Granada. It was very romantic.

All in all we’ve loved our stay here. The Alpujarras have captured our hearts. Congratulations on finding such a wonderful property, thank you.

Following our previous visit we feared that our euphoric impressions may have been filtered and coloured by the glorious sunshine and an alcoholic haze!

Our fears were totally unfounded: La Mimosa remains a magical haven untouched by “time’s rude hand” – The very essence of Spain secreted in an idyllic capsule.

Dianne and David Jepson, Manchester

Our second trip to your special home, the thrill of returning to La Mimosa was all ours, this time with parents in tow…..many long evenings around the table and hot relaxing days. Ventured to La Herradura for a day by the sea – very worthwhile, otherwise just soaking it all up. We will be storing many warm memories for the British winter.

Will and Clare, Brighton

The most fabulous holiday. Thank you for sharing this beautiful part of Spain. The kids had a fantastic time in the pool, a holiday I’m sure they will always remember.

I feel I have left a piece of my heart here. Muchas gracias
