We're
back in Toronto after the most restful, weight-gaining,
reading, relaxing 2 weeks of our lives.
Our
second visit to Orgiva was as good as if not better
than our first. We didn't stray from the house that
often - content to sip mixed drinks and wine and beer....
and look at that massive mountain out back. I'd forgotten
how spectacular the scenery is! We enjoyed the pool
and making up stories about the ruined buildings atop
the facing mountains. Even the sky is remarkable at
La Mimosa - spectacular blues at midday and star filled
at night - we enjoyed warm evenings on the loungers
looking up.
We
tried and consumed every soft cheese and pork product
available in the Carrefour in Granada, tried, tested
and consumed almost all the reds at the supermercado,
reread Driving Over Lemons and my son Adrian now swims
- a success. My daughter Rowan (2) is now fearless
in the water and gave us all heart-attacks when she
started to bicycle herself around the pool in just
her water-wings.
This
visit has been so memorable by many events, happenings
and occurrences. The garden is quite, quite beautiful
- to future guests do get Antonio (gardener) to give
you a tour, he's a lovely man. Not to leave Carlos
(caretaker) out - we really appreciated his warm personality
and insight into the region.
We'll
take wonderful memories back to Toronto - we're planning
our return for OrgivaIII and we'll be sure to ring
Alan first.

Staying at La Mimosa felt more like home this second
time in Orgiva. That said, it made it all the more
difficult to leave. Your villa was absolutely perfect
for our short stay there and is sorely missed. The
facilities were perfect and the pool an absolute delight.
Waking up to the view of the mountains will always
be forever emblazoned into memory.
I
have never felt such a strong desire to remain somewhere
in all of my travels.
Thanks so much again for the villa.
