The
week's holiday at La Mimosa was wonderful. Our only
real complaint was that we couldn't stay a fortnight!
The
house is so comfortable and a real "home from
home". There is everything a family could need
including the children's videos and games for the
evening. What a lovely touch.
The
pool area and terrace are superb. Lots of space for
sun loungers and playing children. There is something
magical when the underwater lights are on at night.
It
was great to have such a large and interesting garden.
We enjoyed the fruit trees and the children loved
searching out the interesting bug life. It was quite
fascinating.
We
didn't actually get any further than Orgiva and the
surrounding Alpujarran villages which are very pretty.
We had a lovely relaxing time. It was lovely just
to wander up the lane to the shops then play around
the pool.
A
super house and a lovely area.
Thanks,

If
anything your villa exceeded our expectations.
We
had a fabulous relaxing time staying at La Mimosa.
The villa is very well equipped and it was hard to
drag ourselves away from the pool. We loved Orgiva
too, which has lots of character and some good restaurants.
I
have stayed in villas in many places throughout Europe
and yours compares very favourably. I have already
recommended your property to some friends.
Overall, a great holiday.

We
have spent a good relaxing fortnight here. We enjoyed
all the shady spots around the garden - enough for
all of us.
I
enjoyed staying at La Mimosa for its homely feel and
pool. Although I found myself mostly lazing about
the house I also enjoyed my few visits to the beach,
the Alhambra and up to the high village of Capiliera.
A great holiday in a beautiful home. Thanks very much
for letting us share your new home
. Hope you
enjoy it over the next couple of years as I have over
the last couple of weeks.

All
too brief was our first visit to this region of Spain
..
We've had a marvellous time and have had great weather.
Mark has enjoyed riding new mountain bike routes and
I've enjoyed lazing by the pool while he cycles!
We
had lots of lovely barbecues and explored all the
surrounding countryside. I didn't want to come home!
We
have loved Mimosa, you are very lucky to own a wonderful
slice of Andalucia. So off we go to (probably) rainy
Scotland and I'm already thinking about our return
next year.
Thank
you!

We're
back in Toronto after the most restful, weight-gaining,
reading, relaxing 2 weeks of our lives.
Our
second visit to Orgiva was as good as if not better
than our first. We didn't stray from the house that
often - content to sip mixed drinks and wine and beer....
and look at that massive mountain out back. I'd forgotten
how spectacular the scenery is! We enjoyed the pool
and making up stories about the ruined buildings atop
the facing mountains. Even the sky is remarkable at
La Mimosa - spectacular blues at midday and star filled
at night - we enjoyed warm evenings on the loungers
looking up.
We
tried and consumed every soft cheese and pork product
available in the Carrefour in Granada, tried, tested
and consumed almost all the reds at the supermercado,
reread Driving Over Lemons and my son Adrian now swims
- a success. My daughter Rowan (2) is now fearless
in the water and gave us all heart-attacks when she
started to bicycle herself around the pool in just
her water-wings.
This
visit has been so memorable by many events, happenings
and occurrences. The garden is quite, quite beautiful
- to future guests do get Antonio (gardener) to give
you a tour, he's a lovely man. Not to leave Carlos
(caretaker) out - we really appreciated his warm personality
and insight into the region.
We'll
take wonderful memories back to Toronto - we're planning
our return for OrgivaIII and we'll be sure to ring
Alan first.

Staying at La Mimosa felt more like home this second
time in Orgiva. That said, it made it all the more
difficult to leave. Your villa was absolutely perfect
for our short stay there and is sorely missed. The
facilities were perfect and the pool an absolute delight.
Waking up to the view of the mountains will always
be forever emblazoned into memory.
I
have never felt such a strong desire to remain somewhere
in all of my travels.
Thanks so much again for the villa.

As
soon as we opened the gates we knew we were going
to enjoy our "extremely short" two weeks.
The
spectacular view of the mountains as we ate "al
fresco" for the whole length of out stay has
been wonderful. The children have enjoyed being able
to use the pool whenever they wanted to whilst the
adults could sit, relax, read or just sunbathe.
Our
mornings, after a lazy breakfast, were spent enjoying
the beautiful mountainside villages enjoying coffee
and Tapas and then relaxing by the pool in the afternoons
and then wandering down for a paddle in the Rio Guadalfeo.
Bliss!
Thank
you very much for letting us share your home,
